About Pitchblend
Our Origin
John, Alan, Richard and Peter became Pitchblend in 2005.
Our Barbershop Experience
While John, Alan and Richard have performed in a number of quartets over many years this is Peter’s first quartet experience. John (tenor) is Assistant Lead Section Leader and an Assistant Musical Director, Alan (lead) is Lead Section Leader and an Assistant Musical Director, and Richard (baritone) is Baritone Section Leader. John and Alan also belong to The Chordsmen quartet, John with NQR and Richard with Boardwalk and Chordite.
Competitions and Performances
Pitchblend competed in the 2007 Sydney convention and won the Audience Award. Pitchblend has also performed at a number of gigs including twice being a supporting act with Darren Hanlon’s Christmas Show. Our repertoire includes many types of song although we particularly like to perform comedy numbers, especially parodies, several of which we have written and arranged ourselves.
