The Melbournaires seek to
- perpetuate the barbershop style of music by sharing it, and our love for it, with people of all ages and diversity,
- promote the education of its members and the public in music appreciation, and
- participate in charitable projects and community outreach.
We support the cause of preserving vocal music, in our education systems and in our communities, as a lifelong recreational activity and as an essential element in one’s cultural well-being.
We extend our community outreach in performance for:
- Community Festivals, e.g Surrey Hills and Boroondara
- Anglicare Victoria and Salvation Army Appeals
- Community Aid Abroad
- Probus & View Clubs
- Hospitals
- Retirement, aged care and nursing homes
- Housing For Humanity Fundraiser
