Canberra Convention 1995 - First Convention

We sang "My Wild Irish Rose" and "I Want a Girl" and won the bronze medal under the direction of Bill Albrecht. This was our first Australian convention, after competing the year before at Auckland New Zealand.

We sang "Hello My Baby" and "Pal of my Cradle Days" with MD Len Nayler, and achieved one of our highest scores.

MD Bernie Cureton led us in 1999 as we sang "Let the Rest of the World Go By" and "Suzie's Fella".
Melbourne Convention 2001

The Melbournaires under MD James Wettenhall had 52 men on stage and sang "Give Me a Barbershop Song" and "What'll I Do?". We also organised the convention which was held at Hamer Hall with dinners at the Exhibition Buildings!

MD Ian Lushey took us to the convention at the Burswood Convention and Casino complex in Perth. We sang "Love Me, and the World Is Mine" and "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You/Ain't That a Kick in the Head".

Held at Jupiters and the Gold Coast Convention Centre at Broadbeach. We sang "The Masquerade Is Over" and "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You / Ain't That a Kick" under the direction of Ian Lushey.

Held at the Hobart Hotel Grand Chancellor,The Melbournaires had 49 singers and received the Chorus Handicap Award. We sang "All The Way" and "Taking A Chance On Love" under the Musical Direction of Ian Lushey.

Held at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our 47 singers performed "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Love Me" under MD Ian Lushey.

Perth Convention was fun and again under the Musical Direction of Ian Lushey we sang "The Way You Look Tonight" and "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter". Our average score was 67.3% and we came seventh out of 16 choruses.

Between The Bays Harmony Chorus under the Musical Direction of John Webb attended its first BHA Convention at Perth in October 2013. The Chorus sang "I Love To Hear That Old Barbershop Style" and "Jeanie With The Light Brown Hair".

The Melbournaires Harmony Chorus hosted the Melbourne 2015 BHA National Convention. Chorus and quartet performances were held at Hamer Hall, youth and other activities at Federation Square and Etihad Stadium. Over 700 delegates over five days of a'cappella singing. We performed "You Don't Know Me" and "I've Been Working On The Railroad" to obtain a score of 70.7%, equal eighth.

Between The Bays Harmony Chorus had 12 singers at the 2015 Melbourne BHA Convention, sang "I Love To Hear That Old Barbershop Style" and "For All We Know", achieving great experience under MD John Webb, and a credible 57.2%.

The Melbournaires sent a small chorus to the 2016 BHA Newcastle Convention. Our performance was based around a theme of Getting Hitched - choreo thanks to our own Clive Metz. The first song "All The Way" represented love, longing and looking forward to the wedding. The second "After You've Gone" displayed dishevelment after being dumped. Total performance was well received by the audience.
